Scott Parker

Scott is an aquatic ecologist with Parks Canada. He holds a Hons B.Sc. (fisheries) from the University of Guelph, a M.Sc. from the University of Wales, and a Ph.D. (ecological resilience) from the University of Waterloo; where he remains an adjunct professor.

His Parks Canada career in resource conservation spans 25 years and includes ecologist positions at Fathom Five/Bruce Peninsula, Gwaii Haanas, Pukaskwa, Riding Mountain, and the Office of the Chief Ecosystem Scientist. He is a member of several international committees focussed on aquatic conservation (e.g., CEC Blue Carbon, GLWQA Annex 2&7). He and his family live near Lions Head.
