Dr. Roger Kuhns

Dr. Roger Kuhns is president of SustainAudit LLC. He has over 35 years of professional experience as a geologist, sustainable practices and environmental scientist, general manager and team leader for national and international natural resource companies involved in environmental projects and business development.

He innovated a sustainability metric system to advance sustainability business and land use planning. Kuhns has worked on Great Lakes geology, in particular the Niagara Escarpment, and hydrology for many years, focusing on the geologic perspective in terms of ecosystem changes through time and preservation approaches for the future.

He has worked globally in over 70 countries in mineral resources and numerous geologicbiologic environments from volcanic islands, continental rifts, coral reefs, rain forests to boreal forests, deserts, and other systems. He is also a contributor to magazines, a videographer, and is completing his third book this year, entitled “Escarpment – a journey through time, geology and life”, which focuses on the Niagara Escarpment and Great Lakes. He does volunteer work for the Door County Land Trust, The Clearing, and is a researcher through the Cedarburg Bog research station, University of Wisconsin Extension.
